We did a survey and it was 50-50 for Reno and Tailhook. You've said you'd like to gather with other communities; Hook '23 provides the perfect opportunity.
So, what’s the plan?
First and foremost, we will have a Ready Room, open throughout and stocked with nibbles and suitable libations. It’s THE place where we can all gather there when we’re not attending events, relaxing, chatting and catching up with fellow Crusaders.
How about the events? Rather than duplicate Hook events, we are taking advantage of what Hook already offers. Our Gunfighter Reception will be the Bug Roach Mixer on Friday night. Our “Ball” will be the Hook Banquet on Saturday night, sitting together as a group. Take a look at the schedule.
Although the official theme of Hook '23 is Operation Iraqi Freedom, there is a strong under current to recognize the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam conflict. We drivers and our beloved F-8 were an influential force in the conflict, so you might want to be a part of the remembrance.
This venue is a new adventure for us and we look forward to seeing you there. So, what do you need to do?
First of all, you need to make your hotel reservations NOW to ensure that you are at the Nugget and not the overflow hotel. We suggest that you reserve for three nights, checking in on Thursday, the 24th, and checking out on Sunday, the 27th. Click HERE to make your reservations.
Next, you need to register for Hook and sign up for the events. The highlight of our LACB32 is the opportunity to make a trip to NAS Fallon. You will tour Top Gun and then relax and share your impressions over lunch at the O’Club. The trip is presently sold out, but you can register for the Wait List. Go to our Registration Page and follow the instructions.
